lyrics

I’ll take you to the river and I’ll teach you to swim
The water’s deep and the world is cold
Give a little money and see what you get
Something to rattle and something to fold

Every time i see another blue book day
I question my commitment to believe
But this is best conversation that I’ve ever had
Wish it could last forever
it almost makes me sad
but this is the best, realisation
of my oldest dream
its great to have you here with me, here with me
floating down the stream

Stopping on an island just to stand in the sun
Perfume being carried by a sterling breeze
Apples in the orchard and a skip in your step
Recognising only our authority

On and on we walk the road, to a city made of gold
Summer winter autumn spring, turn our backs on everything
Back and forth, to and fro to hell we’ll go and back again
To find our way back home

Eager in the morning and alive in the night
Bag of words hanging by the silent stream
Just another bubble not a reason to fight
Can I trust that everything is just as it seems.
